The Quant Lunch Club is a lunch event where talented people from all walks in the quantitative field meet in small groups with an always changing constellation for lunch. Currently, this event takes place in Munich.
The aim is to improve the networking of the start-up, corporate and academic world and to bring exciting decision-makers together for interesting discussions.
Look forward to a relaxed lunch with exciting people.
"There's no such thing as a free lunch" - but eating together connects.
The right combination of participants contributes to every conversation, every discussion and every type of meeting which, in turn, constitutes the core essence of the club.
The majority of the participants are leaders from leading industrial and commercial companies, start-ups and investors with a common interest in quantitative topics.
We are also happy to welcome pioneers and lateral thinkers from other, but no less exciting, fields that complement our group.
The number of participants per lunch is limited to 4 - 6 people.
Participation is only possible with a personal invitation.
We always meet on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. for almost 90 minutes. On the one hand, enough time to get to know all participants and to dive into some exciting topics and discussions. On the other hand, not too much time so that everyone can leave at 2 p.m. at the latest. The timely framework, compatible with a standard business lunch, should give everyone the opportunity to take part in this event. After all, we all have to eat.
At the beginning, all participants are briefly introduced (max. 2 min) and then given the floor to each individual for 2 to 3 minutes, so that everyone can fill in the interesting details and backgrounds themselves. At the same time we order food. From then on, there are usually interesting discussions and discussions about the spheres of influence and experiences of the individual participants.
If necessary, the discussions are timed by me a little, so that a balanced proportion of the conversation arises for all participants and gives everyone the opportunity to actively participate in the discussions.
At 13:45 at the latest we order coffee and invoices so that everyone can leave on time at 2 p.m. Since there are no sponsors for the lunches in order to avoid any potential conflicts of interest, everyone takes on their own bills at the end.
We meet in a restaurant in Munich's old town. In which restaurant the respective lunch takes place will be announced one week before the appointment.
